ZeTough 9H is a protective SiO2 molecular layer that is chemically bonded to your car's paintwork via ultraviolet curing. Unlike traditional wax that dissolves within weeks, ceramic coating creates a permanent, ultra-hydrophobic shield that repels water, dirt and contaminants on contact.
The "9H" refers to the pencil hardness rating, independently tested and certified by SGS. This means the coating resists everyday scratches, water spot etching, bird droppings, UV damage and oxidation for years without reapplication.

A professional-grade ceramic coating typically lasts between 3 to 5 years with proper maintenance. The exact lifespan depends on the product tier you choose, your driving conditions and how regularly the car is washed.

Ceramic coating and Paint Protection Film (PPF) protect paint in different ways. PPF is a physical film that absorbs stone chips and deep scratches, while ceramic coating is a chemical bond that provides hydrophobic protection, UV resistance and a deep gloss finish.
Some PPF brands can peel, yellow or bubble under Singapore's intense heat and humidity. ZeTough ceramic coating acts like a permanent additional clear coat that will not wear, discolour or peel, and requires minimal maintenance.

The full ceramic coating process takes approximately 4 hours from start to finish. This includes a thorough hand wash, clay bar decontamination, taping of trims, machine paint correction, IPA cleaning, coating application and infrared curing.
The infrared curing stage itself takes about 45 minutes to one hour, which permanently bonds the ceramic layer to your paint at a molecular level. Your car is ready to drive home the same day with the coating fully hardened.
We recommend dropping your car off in the morning and collecting it by late afternoon. Both our Ang Mo Kio and Toh Guan workshops operate Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm.

Maintaining a ceramic-coated car is straightforward. Wash as normal using a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft microfiber mitt. The hydrophobic surface means dirt and grime rinse off much more easily than uncoated paint.
You do not need any additional wax, polish or sealant on top of the ceramic coating. In fact, applying wax over ceramic coating can reduce its hydrophobic performance. Simply clean bird droppings, tree sap or insect residue promptly to prevent any staining.
Avoid aggressive machine buffing or abrasive compounds, as these can wear through the coating layer over time. If you follow these simple steps, your coating will perform at its best for the full warranty period.
Your ceramic coating is fully cured using infrared light before your car leaves our workshop. Rain will not wash it off or weaken the bond in any way.
In fact, rain is the perfect test of your new coating. You will notice water beading into tight droplets and rolling off the surface immediately, carrying dirt and dust with it. This hydrophobic effect is one of the most visible benefits of ZeTough.
